Porcine Gastric Mucin (PGM)
Synonyms: Hog gastric mucin, mucin from porcine stomach, mucin from porcine gastric mucosa, PMG
CAS No.: 84082-64-4
EC No.: 282-010-7
Porcine Gastric Mucin is a white to slightly yellow powder that is purified from hog stomach mucosa of healthy pigs. Porcine Gastric Mucins are glycosylated proteins. Mucins have slight characteristic odor of peptone. Mucins from porcine stomach will yeild a viscous emulsion when triturated with water.
